Order conformation problem

Hi,

 

Got a problem that I cannot seem to fix, hope someone can help.

 

I give free shipping on orders over a certain value, i.e. ?10, if a customer add an item to there cart for lets say ?6 then they get charged shipping (all working fine there) once they get to order confirmation page there's an edit link next to product, if clicked it rightly takes you back to the shopping cart, now then if they up the quantity to get them above the free shipping limit and click on CHECKOUT instead of update, it then shows the shipping charge removed but still only the 1 item, hence order is under the free shipping limit but with free shipping.

 

What's the remedy? if removing the EDIT link is the easiest option then so be it, but how :blush:
