images with easypopulate

Uploading products with easypopulate everything working great except the images.

Uploaded images with ftp copied the paths into spreadsheet for upload, but the images have not registered in the product listings.

 

If i manually enter an image first in admin and then change the path in the spreadsheet it works.

 

Looks like oscommerce does not recognise an image is present unless it is manually entered in the admin.

 

Anyone know any tricks to get around this
