osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Hello!

I am not very familiar with PHP. I'd like to be able to build a PDF catalog from my online OScommerce catalog. There is a contribution to create a PDF datasheet which seems to require that FPDF is already installed (that would make sense!)

My question is, how on earth do I install FPDF? I have been to FPDF.org and there doesn't seem to be any really basic install instructions.

For instance, where do I put the FPDF files and folders after un-taring them? do i have to register libraries of functions or something?

And once FPDF is installed, how to I tell the OScommerce contribution (pdf_fpdf.php i think) "where" it is so it can make use of the functions (or is that even necessary?)

Really sorry if reading dumb questions makes you mad. If dumb questions don't make you mad then I would be eternally grateful for some help!

Thanks a bunch

Rimbaud.

Hi Guys

Well I just realized that the "contribution" i downloaded was in fact a modified version of FPDF. What I SHOULD have downloaded is:

24 Aug 2004 - PDF catalog v1.55, new features Author: N. Hilly

Catalog products PDF reports

(there are some more recent updates too)

When this is extracted, there is a lovely readme.txt with installation instructions. It's very easy to install. Thanks to all the people who contributed this. I still can't believe OScommerce is FREE, with such excellent support and contributions, all on the freeware, community-based paradigm.

All the best

Rimbaud
