How customizable is this OScommerce?

Hi there,

 

Today I installe OScommerce on my local serve to test it out. I don't like the way every thing is layed out, however, and really enjoy cutomizing the whole layout of the thing.

 

I do not HTML and CSS, which is a plus...but I gottoa know, how customizable is the layout? If indeed it is very customizable, where do you make the changes? The css stylesheet?

It is indeed very customizable (if you look here, where people display their sites, you can see some great examples of what can be done).

 

Where you make the changes depends on what you want to change. The stylesheet controls the look of the site (colours and fonts and so on), but it won't move or remove the boxes. For that you have to go into the various php files and alter them.

 

Have a lok at the Knowledge Base. There is lots of good info there about taking the first steps towards customizing your store.
