building an acution site

I'm trying to build an auction website. any idea what script or software can be used?

 

i'd prefer it to be free and uses php

 

i've tried searching the contributions, but it's all linking to other sites like ebay for the list, but i prefer to have the auction done on my own site

you could add in other auction software and tie it into the site .. .
