ok I need some help please ?

see heres the problem I have one oscomerce program running on my web hosting reseller server and I wanted to add a domain name for it so I create another account for my self for ratherkoolshop.net

and I installed a fresh oscomerce in that one.

so what I want to do is transfer the products I have on my other one to the new one and show up in the new one with having to go through putting them in the new one for another week process of doing that.

see I sell over 2000 products from pc motherbaords to camcorders, lcd tv, dvd players and xbox,ps2,gamecube, games,software and more.

and I dont want to have to spend another week of lack of sleep installing all the products on the new one like I did to my other one.

that would be just a waste of time and sleep.

and with using oscomerce you cant just use a file to configure to pre-install them for faster process time.

so I was wondering if any one know a short cut for me to sue to transfer the catalog of products to the new one and have them show up with all thier information.

Easy, FTP to your site and locate the mysql database file for your existing site. Download it, then upload it to the same place in the new site, and then (as it probably has a different name to what you have in your configure.php files) alter the name of the database to match in your configure.php files. Done.

I tried the database over 5 times already and tried to edit it to the name it should be and I get this 146 - Table 'ratherko_osc1.sessions' doesn't exist

so need other information on this cause I already tried that more then once and every time I do add the database to it and restore it it gives me that .

so thats not working at all.

i would empty the sessions table completely. if the table is not there in phpmyadmin, just create it from either a backup or from the oscommerce.sql file,

ok Never mind I got it to work in phpmyadmin all I had to do was add all the images to the image folder and rest the disc space for the new account to have more space.

now every thing is showing up.

by the way you guys know of any place online that has free oscomerce templates for the program ?

I seen some online for sale but they ask alot for them.

and plus I always thought oscomerce and the addons was for free ?

but if you know of any place with some good templates for osc for free please let me know ?
