Tell A Friend feature does not work

Hi, I can;t make the above feautre work. My system is running of a Window server and hence i hv set the email option to use SMTP but so far I have not managed to send an email. Any thoughts?

Have you set the 'Allow Guest To Tell A Friend' in your osCommerce control panel to 'True'?

Vger I realised that my problem is even more fundamental. I do not get redirectee tot he tell_a_friend.php when I click on the envelop icon in the right column. In fact I keep getting redirected to checkout page.

Yes, sorry, but as you said, you have more problems than just the 'Tell A Friend' feature. When I clicked on an item for more information it went to the correct page, but it also added it to the shopping cart without my clicking on a 'buy now' button.

 

Don't know what you've done here, but it seems like more than one thing is wrong.

Yes, sorry, but as you said, you have more problems than just the 'Tell A Friend' feature.  When I clicked on an item for more information it went to the correct page, but it also added it to the shopping cart without my clicking on a 'buy now' button.

Thanks for trying. I'll try to sort this out. I replaced all the tell_a_friend.php files with the original except for the main page but it didn't affect a thing. I guess a bit more time and patience will solve this.
