If you installed it maybe you installed it to a folder like http://www.my-mams-shop.co.uk/catalog The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
MrFlicker Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 Well i installed it through the fantastico oscommerce cart feature at my cpanel hosting and the url's I was given were as the above but there is nothing there to configure! Ithiught the admin panel was supposed to be accessable from the admin url above as mentioned in the install details. Do I have to do somehing else at my cpanel hosting? I installed a Simple machines forum at www.tvworlds.com and that went ok so I am a little confused by this! I am fairly new to webmastering and am totally self taught bar the odd book so am quite an experienced Newbie. MrFlicks MrFlicker UKDaddy

Go to the file manager in your hosting control panel and look for the osC files and see where they are located. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? ♥Vger Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 You say that you registered a domain, and that you installed osCommerce on it. All that I see is a domain holding page provided by Telivo (www.telivo.com). How long has it been since you registered this domain? If less than 48 hrs it's likely that it hasn't yet propagated on the server. If you have FTP access to your website then take a look there and see what files you do have. Vger

Vger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh Telivo Thats what it will be then as I have not accessd anything at Telivo(Dont know why I registered it there as I have been usinf www.devilishdomains.com but now have my own www.domains-4-u.com . I will have to go and get my Telivo details and go and see if its that the problem lies! MrFlicks MrFlicker UKDaddy
♥Vger Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 You will need to repoint the Telivo dns addresses to those for your website, because at the moment it's pointing to Telivo's addresses. Vger

Vger <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I cant believe I forgot that I got that domain at Telivo (Duh) It is registered to my Mum too and not where I usually register. I have just changed the name servers at telivo so hopefully just need to wait for it to take effect now. Thanks for all the help. I would have sat there racking my brain trying to work what was wrong for the rest of the evening else. MrFlicks MrFlicker UKDaddy
