Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 there is a sql file named anti robot registration, ending in sql for an extension with the contribution you need to install via phpmyadmin Quote
GooseZor Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 okay i see the file...now a dumb question...how do i upload it to phpmyadmin? i do have access to it, just unsure on how to go about uploading and isntalling the file. thanks. Quote
Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 open phpmyadmin, select the database, click on sql and then browse for the file and then insert Quote
GooseZor Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 okay i did that earlier and got an error so i wasn't sure if i was doing it right. here is what i get when i upload it: #1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'Anti Robot Registration Validation 2.4 and as of right now i have the files uploaded to my server in the root directory still in the catalog folder. Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 when did u get that error? in phpmyadmin? if so, open the file, and then cut and paste hust the sql portion, (create table, insert, etc). Quote
GooseZor Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 yeah it was in phpmyadmin under "SQL -> Run SQL Query". as far as the next step with cutting/pasting the sql file using create table, insert...unfortunatley i've never done that before so i wouldn't know how to go about doing it. care to help out a noob? thanks again. Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 you need to make sure the sql file you are using that there is a # before Anti Robot (the very first line) in the sql file. then it iwll run Quote
GooseZor Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 hmmm...i added the # to the first line before Anti Robot...still get the same error. :( Quote
Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 then erase that line, just start with the first line which says insert Quote
GooseZor Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 different error this time..."#1146 - Table 'spree8_Goose.configuration_group' doesn't exist" btw - thank you for the help. Quote
Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 configuration_group is a pretty important table, are you just getting started? and what else have you done to the site? Quote
GooseZor Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 yep just getting started. just put postnuke on the site really. nothing much else. Quote
Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 even if u get this installed your store wont work cuz of ocnfiguration_group missing. either start the db over or you are going to have fun piecing it together Quote
GooseZor Posted December 5, 2004 Author Posted December 5, 2004 i have 2 db's right now. i'm only using 1, mainly containing all my nuke db's. should i create a configuration_group db? or how do i go about installing one? Quote
Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 this may be a dumb question: Are you trying to install this on postnuke or osCommerce? Quote
Guest Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Well... a module written for oscommerce is more then likely not going to work in postnuke. Actually I gaurantee you its not going to work. Quote
