vmetal76 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 Here is a typical osCommerce product listing: osCommerce product listing The products are listed only as a thumbnail, a name, and price. Here are examples of product listings I like a lot more: Single row listing with description Column lisitng with descriptions Both of these allow you to presell a product with a little blurb right in the product listing page. Clicking on the name or the thumbnail then launches you to the product detail page where a larger description can be used. Also, the product are nicely separated from each other - much more visually appealing and neat looking. My Question: Is either of these alternative methods of displaying product listings possible with osCommerce? If so, how?
Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 it would take some customization but it is possible
iwik Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 You can install the product listing in columns and the products short descriptions contributions (which can be found here) that will allow you to display the products similar to those other sites. You'll have to tinker with them to get them displaying eactly as you'd like, but they form a good base to build on.

I really like how it was implemented HERE: short info implementation Does anyone know how to make the product name BOLD like it is in the above example? Mine are all standard arial. Also, is it possible to add a line separating the products from each other in the product listing?
