jon_l Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 We need to start using Mastercard Secure Code at some point soon, as without it we are prevented from accepting certain cards from certain customers (as they HAVE to be authorised using this method). I'm not totally sure about how this verification method works, and getting information from my merchant provider isn't as easy as it should be (which is a bit worrying when they are one of the worlds largest banks). My understanding is that the customer has to be passed to Mastercard who then take and verify the card details, with an authorisation code being passed back. The big problem we have is that a lot of our orders are advance orders, and we don't take payment until the products are in stock and ready to ship. If my understanding of Secure Code is correct, I don't see how we can get it to work for us. I'm sure there must be some kind of work around for this, as we can't be the only shop that works like this. If anyone has any more info, or can provide some help it would be appreciated. Jon.
