frank27ftl Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 I'm new to OSCommerce. I'm trying to connect to the mysql database created on the remote server when I installed OSCommerce there. . However, my browser goes blank when the connection string is run. I also tried to use the 'mysql_list_dbs ()' function to query any existing tables .. and again.. a blank browser and no listings.. :huh: According to phpmyadmin in the cpanel, I can see there is a database created. Does OSCommerce software not allow you to query or connect to the database using a php string?? :( HELP!
Guest Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 per the knowledge base, osCommerce does not create the MySQL database, that has to be created ahead of time. when you install osCommerce, you just put in your parameters you setp for the database.
