Guest Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 Hi all, it seems that the USPS API has changed! Any idea on how this will effect the osC module? Could this be why my international customers can only ship via "Global Variable Weight Package" and not any of the affordable "Parcel Post" options? Thanks! The USPS Web Tools program has enhanced the Domestic Rates Calculator API(V1) to include two new features. The new Domestic Rates Calculator API (V2) includes a rate for the new Priority Mail Flat Rate Box and the new service option, "ALL", that returns all service rates with one call. A revised user guide is now available at usps.com/webtools. A summary containing highlighted changes is attached to this email. All of the Web Tools to include these new features are available to postal customers free of charge. What has changed in the Domestic Rates Calculator V2! ? The name of the new API is RateV2 ? The name of the request is RateV2Request ? A new service type option of "All" is available in the RateV2Request ? New containers are available to Priority Mail customers -- FRB-1 and FRB-2 (flat rate box) ? The name of the response is RateV2Response ? The optional "RestrictionCodes" response tag from V1 has been eliminated. ? The optional "RestrictionDescription" response tag from V1 has been changed to "Restrictions" ? The response XML, when the "All" option has been requested, will include all applicable rates and service names. Implementors of this API will need to modify their code to loop through the returned XML to retrieve each postage element. Quote
bglkk Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Hi: Yes, USPS changed the International API quite a while back, causing the problem you describe. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...20entry362202 It seems like every week somebody hits this issue, because the stock USPS module hasn't been updated. I don't think this is any relation to the Domestic Rates API update. Quote "Buy the ticket, take the ride..." -HST
