justmake Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 Someone just put me onto this contributionn and i am very greatful, but i cannot understand the installation instructions, can someone please walk me through them. i am very new to all this so i am sorry if this seems like a dumb question. Here are the instructions: Installation ------------ 1) run the .sql file in the folder "Sql" of this file to apply SQL changes to your database. 2) apply the "diff" patch or use "MS2 patched files" of this file, and copy "New files" in you catalog folder. Note: files in the folder "MS2 patched files/catalog" of this file are the result of the application of the diff patch on a "clean" 2.2 MS2. Note: we made this contribution by changing only english language files, if you want to create your language file, view changes made in Changed Language Files (see below).
♥yesudo Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 You need to apply the sql to your database. Then compare your files with the contribution files to see what amendments are required. Your online success is Paramount.

♥Vger Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 You need to access your database via phpMyAdmin (should be a link to it in your web hosting control panel). Then you need to import the sql file for this contribution into the database. Vger

You need to access your database from your hosting control panel then your database and then look for the phpmyadmin link. Once there click on the sql tab and then you are ready to run your sql file. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

I have installed the sql thing in the database, but have no idea what to do with the 22 php files that came in the zip file (and there are 3 customers.php and alot of others that have duplicates). I am up to step 2 which reads like this, I am very new at this please be patient. 2) apply the "diff" patch or use "MS2 patched files" of this file, and copy "New files" in you catalog folder.
