rgloverd Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 Im having problems with the paypal ipn 'PayPal_Shopping_Cart_IPN-Version-2.9' and would like to install the new IPN the the osCommerce team have written, If I just uninstalled the Paypal ipn V2.9 using he admin console would that be sufficent or would all code changes that were made need to be removed as well as database changes? My problem with the 2,9 version is that the IPN messages are not displaying an the status isn't being updated, any comments would be great, thnaks, Richard

If you backed up your files before making the changes then you can just upload the backups. If you backed up your database in the osC admin before making the changes you can just do a restore from the backup. If not you will need to remove all your changes manually. If that is the case you will remember to make your backups the next time you install a contribution or make changes to your site. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Guest Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Richard, As I have seen on several other threads all you have to do is uninstall the 2.9 version in the admin. Then just install and use the v1 paypal ipn. Since they are TOTALLY DIFFERENT, don't share any files, and don't overlap you don't have to delete the 2.9 stuff if you don't want too.
