Guest Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 I couldn't remember the password I assigned myself when I created a test account under my own e-mail address. so.....I went into the site's admin page and deleted my account. Trying to sign up and register again with the same e-mail address, and the screen keeps coming back saying that this e-mail address is already registered. ??? What do I do? Furthermore, if a customer loses their password, is there a way for the administrator to look up their password? I go into the admin page, under customers, select one for viewing.....but, there's no password info there at all.
Guest Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 Me again. Possibly....is this a security feature of sorts within OSC? Hypothetically....you have a customer that buys a ton of stuff...but never pays. So...you delete their account. They try to come back in and create another account...with the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS....and your website says heck no...that address is already registered on xxx.com...despite the fact that you've deleted their entire account already? Yes, I know. I'm bumping my own thread.

Guest Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 Might want to search the database w/phpMyAdmin and see if the account isn't all the way gone. Look in the customer's table, searching by email address. -jared
