Ok, I've just successfully installed and admin working ok.

 

Should I go ahead and delete the install directory? Assuming yes :)

 

Also, on renaming the admin directory. Is there a config file or anything where I have to change the path to the admin app? I renamed the admin directory, and when I hit some of the hypertext links, the result was "not found" pages.

Yes, delete the install directory.

 

In admin/includes/configure.php there are a few pathways to 'admin' which you will have to change.
