LCC UK Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Hi I have recently found that only about half of the pop-up images on the product page's "click to enlarge" image are actually working. I was advised to empty my temporary internet files, which might help and after deleting some 200mb of temp files, it hasn't helped. I have three computers and two laptops and it happens on all of them so it doesn't appear to be the actual computer(s). I have tried looking through the security settings but as far as I can tell, there is nothing disabled only a few prompts etc. I have Nortons Anti Virus and Nortons Firewall installed and working but there are no settings that I can see which would be disabling the pop-ups and about half of them work anyway so I think it may be some error with the website itself, or could it be my web server? I have a later version of Windows XP Pro, without the Java plug in and have downloaded the Sun Java plug in from their website. I would appreciate any help from anyone who has come across this before and even more so from the person with the "cure". Thanks Kerry
Guest Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Probably a browser issue. Try Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, Safari, or some other browser that doesn't use the IE engine to see if that makes any difference. -jared
♥Vger Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 The problem I think is that you have Norton installed alongside Windows XP. I have seen so many reports of people having to uninstall one or the other to get their systems working properly again. I think that Norton is even cited by Microsoft on their site as one of the programmes not compatible with XP. Just a thought. Vger

Guest Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Don't know if anyone is interested in this tidbit but here goes: Just got done reading an article dealing with Norton and Win XP. If you have the new SP2 for Win XP then you need to get a patch to enable Norton to work correctly. It all deals with how Win XP's new security center works, Norton has a type of file encryption or something that makes it so win xp security center can't "connect" to it. Go to win up date, and refresh it 3 times (don't know why, but thats what the article stated in order for the patch to show). Then you "should" be able to use norton and win xp together.
