Multiple Discount Rates

I would like to set up a discount rate system based upon 8 rates of discount.

 

Each rate is based upon a cumulative total of items the customer has ever purchased.

 

E.g.

 

Brian buys 5 items, and gets a 10% discount

next week he buys five more, bringing his cumulative total to 10 items

this will get him a 20% discount on the 5 new purchases, not the normal 10%

 

There are 8 increments in this discount rate, and the customers purchase history the discount is based upon would be accessed when the customer logs in to the shop.

 

Any suggestions on how to implement this would be appreciated.

Nope! Not a clue! The CCGV contribution will give you multiple discounts, but it would be up to you to advise the customer of the new code when they reach the threshhold.
