Jeremy at oddly enough Posted December 2, 2004 Share Posted December 2, 2004 Hi all, it seems my site will not calculate the shipping for new customers who browse the shop, add items to the cart, then go to check out. They go through the create account process, and the checkout procedure, and the order goes through, but shipping is not calculated. I have two versions of the region based contrib installed (for ground and air), as well as pickup for local customers, but none of these options are included in the final calculation. Also I had a customer order today, we both recieved confirmation emails, the order is in the database (I looked at it directly to confirm this), but it is not showing up in the admin section? Quite confusing! Ideas? Perhaps something in the process of transferring the cart? Thanks, Jeremy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Olimess Posted December 2, 2004 Share Posted December 2, 2004 Try going into your administration ... modules ... shipping section. Check to see that your shipping modules are properly setup. Even if they appear to be setup properly still click to edit your individual shipping modules and click update for each. This could help to reconnect the modules back to the shopping cart. This can happen even though the shipping modules appear to be active in the shipping modules page. This issue can also effect the orders from appearing in the orders list as well while not disrupting the email flow. It goes without saying that no shipping charge will be posted if the modules are not properly connected. Give this a try before going into the code.
