Keeps timing out

whenever I am trying to complete an order, or when I click "update" to change the status of an order I get a "CGI Timeout" error. How can I fix this?

Don't know what's going on here - because osCommerce doesn't use the cgi bin, unless you've installed a payment processor like the HSBC E-secure module.

it is most likely a php error, and he is running php as a cgi module and not an apache module. let you host know what is going on, have them see if they have php times set properly in the ini file.
