riley1917
...has anyone else integrated CC's into their osCommerce I already have PayPal, but my abandon rate is higher than I'd like so I want to have the option for a straight CC billing option. Any suggestions/tips? TIA
Guest
You'll need two things: 1) get a merchant account with Authorize.net, Verisign, or one of the other *many* payment processors 2) a payment module for that particular payment processor #2 is not necessary if you want to use your payment processor's "virtual terminal" to run all credit card transactions - - a pain, but it works. -jared

riley1917
why?... is paypal a tedius or complicated payment processor? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well...some may see it as tedious to sign up for. I think there are two main problems: 1. People don't know that PayPal is required, fill a cart, and then move to pay, then abandon once the PayPal screen comes up. 2. People go through the whole Order Confirmation on the osCommerce side, and then stop after the "Confirm Order" button on the osCommerce side. eetwiz
Aren't the users of Authorize.net & Verisign required to have a federal/state tax id? // define the project version define('PROJECT_VERSION', 'osCommerce 2.2-MS2');
Guest
not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me if they required a business license and/or a tax ID. It's in their best interest to avoid customers who might be unlicensed. -jared
