Guest
Ok I just installed the paypal shopping cart ipn 2.9 and have been doing sometesting. My store is very very modded btw. Anyway when I click on checkout I end up at step 2 (Payment Information), without going thru the 1st step (delivery information). I have no idea how this happened, I don't think it has to do with the paypal ipn as I have done a couple of backups and tested them (only the files not the database) and the same thing is happening. Does anyone have an idea on what is going on, where I can look to solve this problem? I am just about ready to go live and this is my last problem (hopefully). Guest
Vger, Thanks for the info, I have actually rolled back everything to before installing the ipn 2.9 , but I am still having the same issue. For some reason it just skips step one (delivery info). I have no idea what/when this happened or where to start looking for the problem. I need to fix this before I add in the new ipn just so that I can make sure everything is working correctly. Any ideas? ♥Vger
You can add the new IPN without deleting any other payment module, inactivating them, or deleting them - it's a free-standing install. Vger
Guest
Thats great! But don't I still need to have the delivery information step during checkout? I need to figure out what has happened that is making the checkout process skip this step and go right to payment information. I can add in the new paypal mod and have it working, but I would still be without a first step. Any ideas on what has happened or where to start looking? could it be a setting somewhere, database, or something in a file? Guest
I went ahead and installed the new ipn contrib. All seems to be well I'll test it out in a few. Is there anyway to get it to look/ have the function as 2.9? (what I mean is that on the checkout process, payment info all it says is paypal ipn. Is there anyway to get the look of 2.9 in it? with the credit card icons, and the popup info? Still can't figure out the reason for skipping step 1. Guest
Oh hot damn! Some times I can be soo stupid! the reason it was skipping step one...it was a virtual product I was testing with! I have the ccgv contrib installed and if virtual there is no shipping duh!!! Now all I need to do is see if anyone knows how to get the credit card icons, and popup info from ipn 2.9 into ipn v1.0. Thanks all for dealing with me in my braindead state..sigh sometimes it just doesn't pay to get out of bed. LOL RW I went ahead and installed the new ipn contrib.
