corleone
I have problems with my installation. When I am asked to name a database and give it its serverlocation, what am I supposed to enter? Can I use some kind of default database from oscommerce to start with? If not, where do I install, or point to the database? I am very new to databases and we work with FileMaker Pro6 at the moment and I would also be greatfull for any comments on how to migrate FileMaker files to for example mysql. Thanks in advance :'( Johan Annell

You need to go into your hosting control panel and create the database and user, assign the user to the database and then take that info and use it for the osC install The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??

Guest
that is basic system administration. the error gives you the path you need to change via your host cpanel or via ftp or if you have shell access to the computer you type in what it says.
