administrator doesnt get email order notifications

I have set up oscommerce for a client, along with a few mods.

He has informed me that he has not been receiving all of the email notifications when orders are placed. The notifications use to get to him, but they no longer do. he has to manually check the orders through the admin panel.

 

He has spoken with another oscommerce user who is also experiencing the same problem.

 

Anyone have any ideas??? he assures me that he does not have any spam filters on his email account.

 

I am about to just completely reinstall the software, but figured I'd check with you guys first.

did u double check that the send extra order emails is filled in? try changing the email address there, then place a test order. is this on a windows server or a *nix server?

My client is having the same problem. All of a sudden the orders are not going to his email address. I have added a new email to the 'send extra e-mails' section and still it is not working.

 

Is there anyone else having this problem?

Hey Cameron,

 

I was wondering if you had found a solution for this problem? I am still not receiving any emails on orders although i do have everything filled out correctly.

 

Is your client receiving his orders yet?

 

If you have any info on this problem please share :P

Is the e-mail address you are designating for 'Extra Order E-mails' actually an address on your domain? If not, then these e-mails may be tagged as being 'relayed' and being barred by the e-mail address they are being directed to.

I've had troubles with entering e-mails in 'Extra Order E-mails' using the directions supplied next to the textbox. Don't follow: "format: Name 1 <email@address1>, Name 2 <email@address2>". Only enter 1 e-mail address and enter it plain. No Name or <> around it. Just [email protected].

Yes, the site is www.800biltong.com and the email address is [email protected] and i checked with the hosting company and they do not bar any emails. Like I said, it was working and then just stopped! :(

I did not originally have the <> and I only had one email account set up. When it stopped working i tried the <> and input a new email address ... i have since removed this formula.

I did exactly what medvid said, and everything works fine now.

Somehow, it seems my client cleared the "send extra order emails to:" field.

Oh darn, that is not my problem. I did not change anything when it stopped working. I then went through and deleted the email address, tried a new one tried two, tried the <> , removed the <> and then just added one email address and still it will not work! :(
