Hi, im new here. Im trying to make a on-line store. And i come up with some questions. May be somebody will be able to give an advice.

I need to have one separate store for wholesale, and another for retail.

Wholesale entrance can be by one same for my all wholesale customers password, but when they will order something, i whould be able to know to whom this order belongs.

Questions are:

1.do i really need to make two different stores, or this (wholesale and retail) can be possible to make within one store. does anyone knows this kind of site?

2.do i need to use 2 databases for this?

3. Is where any kind of manager program i can download for easy and handy customize themes and front page?

thank you

People register with osCommerce before they go to Checkout, so they will all have their own passwords. But if you want wholesale customers to have to Login to get to the wholesale area then you can Password Protect the folder the wholesale site is in, and only add approved user names and passwords to people you give access to.

Yes, it is possible to have two websites, one for retail and one for wholesale on the same domain - for example:

http://yourdomain.com

http://yourdomain.com/wholesale

Because they are on the same domain they should be able to use the same database, and the same ssl cerificate.

There is also a B2B contrib that allows you to assign individuals to a group and assign discounts to the group. Both retail and wholesale customers would go to the same domain.com/ but they would see different prices after they log in.
