SALESEXPERIENCE
Hi, Firstly, I loaded the software last night and most of my initial questions have been answered before on other discussion threads. Thanks for the info already here. I have had 2 problems with image files. Firstly, is it possible to have more than 1 thumbnail for each item? I have only been able to load 1 picture per item. Secondly, when I click on the thumbnail, the resulting picture is 3 times the size of the screen. Maybe I need to initially load smaller files as the pictures are from a good quality digital camera. I might try this with the basic Microsoft photo editor resize comand tonight. The pictures I'm loading may be too detailed. Finally, I wish to make a wholesale section accessible by password only. Is it possible to make a partition for this, ie a section that contains a seperate pricing structure? Thanks in advance, Iain.
ckyshop.co.uk
Not sure about the partition. Think you can have more than one thumb - think it's in a contribution, search around at http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions. The images are probably too big because the ones you uploaded are too big, find the original image on your computer, make a copy and resize it, i use paint shop pro, make an image that is 100x80 and then enlarge it keeping the proportions to the actual image size, then paste the image onto the background, this keeps oscom from making the image squashed. Phew Thanks for any help/comments. Regards, Lewis Hill
SALESEXPERIENCE
Thanks Lewis, I'll try a smaller file size until I perfect it, will also try the image paste as my logos and pictures are not keeping their definition. Cheers, Iain. Not sure about the partition. Think you can have more than one thumb - think it's in a contribution, search around at http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions.
