JnJSpdShop
I tried searching, but didn't really find what I was looking for. I am a total OScommerce newb so please bear with me. What I am trying to do is find out the way to add drop down menus under a product right before you add it to the cart. For example I am selling widgets. You click and it shows a picture of a black widget for say $5.00 then at the bottom under the description there is a drop down menu for different colors like red, blue, and green. Red widgets are $1.00 additional, blue are $2.00 addition, etc to the price of the plain black widget. I want to figure out how to do this?? Guest
Jason, Lots of information already in the forums and the KB as you've seen. Thanks for posting that it's solved. ed
Matt_M
But if I have blue widgets that are 3 dollars each and red widgets that are 7 dollars each, but they are each also available in different sizes for a few bucks more, is there a way to put all of that in one item page, or do I have to make seperate pages for both blue and red widgets? Guest
Matt, You can put it all in one page. You can have one attribute be color and one be size. Each attribute option can have a +/- price modifier so you could have: Product Foo $3.00 Color: Blue Red +$4 Size: Sm Md Lg +$1 Blue Small is $3 but Red Large is $3 + 4 + 1 = $8. osCommerce will do this standard. Adding quantities to the option combinations takes a contribution called QTPro. ed
outputcentral
Hi! Another Newbie here too... I am needing another function of the options pulldowns I don't see. I have products that I need to sell... Vehicle accessories. Is it possible to have the attributes return a value based on another pulldown? I have hundreds of items that have a model number based on the make/model/year of the customers vehicle. ie... Bumper attribute --- ford, chevy, dodge attribute --- explorer, surburban, durango attribute --- 1987, 1988, 1989 I want it to put all this information into the basket along with the result from a lookup table. ie... 1987, ford, explorer = model # 12345 I can narrow it down by listing each item per manufacturer... "ford bumper" Then I only have the model and year to put in attributes. Can I make a field like the "Add" field, that, based on the attributes chosen, will add a part number to the description?? Open to ideas (trying to make entering thousands of parts with multiple options painless) Thanks Lou
