Could you move the middle content up a bit?

Even at fullscreen 1024x768 I can't even see the word "Welcome" on your moon picture. It'll probably look nicer if you can get rid of the blank space at the top.

Hello, I am new to this forum and new to online business.

Please review my new site and provide comments.  I'd like to sign up for Google Adwords to advertise for the holiday season - so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

I like the colors on your site. The softness of it is great! I think that maybe I would either make the big banner smaller, or eliminate it. It seems to overpower your product, and it takes up a lot of prime real estate. You already have the moon in the upper corner, you could line the three logos in a row along the top, and allow your product to move up the page a fair bit. Just my opinion, take it for what it's worth! B)

I like your color scheme. I agree, banner too big. I think that main splash image might be too big also, as it almost takes up the entire screen.

Why do you require DOB when registering a new account?

Also, you're definitly going to have to add some more shipping options if you want to sell holiday items. I would recommend adding at least USPS priority mail.

Also like the colours of the website but they need to be more intense. Did you use something like 50% transparency? It just looks washed out. I really have to strain my eyes to make out the words.

- nitpicky comment: In your graphic, you don't end your main sentence with a period.

- If you make your center graphic a *tad* smaller your page will not require a horizontal scroll bar at 800x600

- " 2617 requests since Tuesday 28 September, 2004 " can be removed - - saves you a database query, and isn't really that useful

- shipping policy: "We ship to U.S. ONLY". Do you enforce this in checkout? What happens if I sign up, from England, and try to buy something?

- privacy policy (this one's for Java Roasters <grin>): "e never make your e-mail address, or other private information, available to any other company or organization." How do you ship? USPS/UPS/FedEx have to have your customer's name/address . . .

- the color of your "continue" button doesn't match the rest of the site

- I suggest renaming "Top" in the breadcrumb to "Home" and removing "Catalog" as it's redundant.

- If you move your website up one level, so that you're not in a "catalog" subdirectory, I think you'll look a bit better search engine rankings.

-- If you're more interested in some search engine optimization, there are several threads on this.

Looks nice, warm, and soft! I like your color scheme.

A few minor things:

The header image small text is a bit fuzzy and the yellow doesn't match the header background color. It would blend nicely if they were the same shade.

The bright button is a color doesn't seem to fit with the soft color scheme.

The text in this image is really tiny and difficult for me to read, I have 20/20 vision. I imagin it would be difficult for someone with vision impairment. I think that text rather than an image would be best in this spot, since your header includes your logo and site name.

This image:

includes/languages/english/images/buttons/button_quick_find.gif

Either needs a border around it or the background color changed to match the yellow background of the page.

I don't think that these are major issues - if I were to choose one thing it would be that image in the middle of the front page - it really needs to go.
