Pixy Polly Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 i got this error message at the end of installation >.< ive tried anything suggests in the message even delete and reuploaded but things still not work. anyway, is there something to do with '.htaccess' files?? i cannot upload em since [blank].fileextensions are prohibited on my server. The following error has occurred: The configuration files do not exist, or permission levels are not set. Please perform the following actions: cd /data/webdata/enmoi.net/subdomain/shop/catalog/includes/ touch configure.php chmod 706 configure.php cd /data/webdata/enmoi.net/subdomain/shop/catalog/admin/includes/ touch configure.php chmod 706 configure.php If chmod 706 does not work, please try chmod 777. If you are running this installation procedure under a Microsoft Windows environment, try renaming the existing configuration file so a new file can be created. Guest Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 the htaccess doesnt have anything to do with it. do you have a cpanel from your host? ask your host to set the permissions for you if you cant do it. try ftp, connect to your site, then work your way to the files, then right click on the file and go to permissions or properties and make it writeable, if it only has a box with read only checked, uncheck it. then recheck it after installation.
