prmedia Posted November 30, 2004 Share Posted November 30, 2004 Help needed, I have installed OSC on my local server and am running PHP, IIS, MYSQL on an XP Machine. When I get to Install the database I am unsure what is required. I make it to the new installation page and I have ticked both boxes and continued. The next page I have entered Database server as localhost, and I have made up a user name, password, and database name, then I have ticked pursistant connection and ticked database, but step two freezes and only shows half of the page. Do I create a new database using Mysql with a login and password first and if so how do I do that or how do I make sure mysql is setup correctly How do I connect my database in XP Hopefully once I have got this right will be able to design and test sites.
