featured products

I've tried to inpliment the featured products contribution and everything looks fine apart from i'm getting an internal server error when i click on the 'featured' link within catalog in the admin site.

i followed everything to the letter. any ideas what could have happened?

double check what you have done.

 

maybe a file name definition left out.

Double and even triple checked the instructions, by the letter.

also checked the 'new' files and thier location, all looks correct, but still getting the error.

 

i'm pretty sure its not a filenames issue as the error is an internal server error and not a 'can't find' error.

 

Aubrey Kilian If your reading this, can you help? as the original author of the contribution i wondered if you had seen this error before.

The contribution does work so the problem is most likely caused by your install, though it could be the version you are using. The 1.5.2 from april works for sure as that is the one I have used.

 

Have you checked the support thread to see if anyone else has had the same problem before?? If not that should be your next step as the solution may well be there and waiting for you.

 

Anytime you have a problem with a specific contribution the first place you should check is the support thread for that particular contribution in the contribution support section of the forum.

I'll go have a look now, but i've checked the install and it looks ok.

A bit more detail.

 

It 'works' fine, i just cant get the admin part where you add the products to work. thats when i get the internal server error.

the configuration part of the contribution works fine and in fact i have set it to false so it defaults back to the new products box so there is something to see rather then blank space (again as should happen when no records are in the database for featured items).

So the functinallity looks good, just can't get in to add/selcet products i wish to feature.

don't use the filemanager withing oscommerce software to upload contribution files.

I have just installed Featured Products, I have checked the install, the new table exists in the database, yet I get this message when I try and view the catalog

 

"1146 - Table 'sierrab2.TABLE_FEATURED' doesn't exist
