Guest Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Hi! I am buying an electronics shop, and I want to set up a webshop for it. Now to my problem: In stock i have components with multiple values. Resistors for example. They come in different kinds, one that can take 1/8 W, one that can take 1/4 W, and so on. And of each kind I have many different values (from 1 Ohm to multiple MegaOhms). Same with capacitors...many different kinds, with many different values per kind. What is an "easy" way to set up my catalog for all those products? Adding a product per value doesn't seem to be a good way. Adding attributes for every value seems to be an extremely time-consuming task, since I would also have to add each attribute to every product. So, anyone got any suggestions? Is there any contrib that will solve my problem?
ozcsys Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 You might want to look at the master products contribution. I was needing something similar and it looks like it is going to do the trick for me with very little modification. Also the attributes copier is pretty handy if you have a bunch of attributes that you use a lot. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
Guest Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Thanx for your reply! That seems to be what I need. Maybe not the best solution, but maybe the only solution available..
