Please be kind... I'm utterly confused at this point.

This is what I would like to do.. is it even possible?

I want to have usps calculated shipping for the U.S. (where i am) so it will automatically calculate real shipping charges on those orders.

I also have customers from Australia and other countries and would like to have a flat rate for those folks.

Is this possible? Can anyone offer any insight into how to complete this? I really dont know where/how to begin. Keep in mind i'm a newbie and have a hard time understanding php and all that.

Thanks for your help in advance... whew.. this website is one challenging task!

This is probably already handled by the shipping modules in your shop. You just have to set them up. In admin->modules->shipping, there is an USPS module. In order for it to work, you have tohave an account with USPS. I don't use this from what I have read here on the forums, it is fairly simple. As for shipping out of the country, you can probably enable the Flat rate or Table rate moducles. Although I'm not sure which would take precedence here in the States. Also try searching the forums for USPS.

I would like to know too.

I want to use a flat rate, by product count as well as "free shipping" and maybe USPS too. I also want to select which products get what shipping module.

I have signed up for the USPS account and have that info. in the usps shipping module... This is the actual price shipping that I need for my U.S. orders so that part is done.

I still dont understand how to set up my website so if the buyer is from anywhere outside the United States they will be charged a flat fee per each item they select. Do I have to set zones or something for every country? Or can I just make a "anywhere outside the U.S." flat rate shipping/per item type zone?

I'm a total newbie and this .php stuff is beyond me. Can anyone offer some sort of Easy Newbie type outline of how I can accomplish this?

I'd appreciate the help.. I'm just so lost.
