lull45209 Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I think I have everything set up fine ... the store seemingly works without a hitch. No errors. The problem is that NO orders actually are stored/saved. They get the "confirmation" page and all, but orders are not sent or finalized (they still remain in the basket) ... what gives? http://www.repossessionrecords.com/store/ Thank you!
serissolutions Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Same thing happens to me. My customers are checking out using the paypal payment method. I recieve the paypal payment but no order is in OSC. I am losing my customers confidence because I have to email them and ask them what they ordered. SOmeone please help? I dont know where to look. -S
Guest Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 This is a common problem with PayPal when you don't have the IPN contrib installed. Another thing you can do is browse the KB for the Master Password tip'n'trick . Then, when you get a PayPal payment you don't have an order for, you can login to your store as the email address that sent you $$, and check them out manually. Be sure to check them out as money order so that you/they aren't prompted to pay again. -jared
lull45209 Posted November 25, 2004 Author Posted November 25, 2004 Unfortunately, this won't help me. I'm using Authorize.net, not PayPal ...
Guest Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 You probably ought to post this to the authorize.net consolidated contrib support forum. There are lots of folks in there that have worked through all kinds of integration problems. -jared

Or does Money Order have to be an option available to customers for this to work? ^_^
Guest Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 you would have to allow money orders, there is a module to create orders via admin for customers and then you dont have to do that. there is something wrong with your paypal module tho, recheck the installation if you are using ipn
Guest Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 Well, the main thing is to be able to check them out. MO is easy, as you can check out without actually having to pay yourself anything. You could always enable it, check out, and then disable MO again . . . -jared

If you do mean me, and you're referring to the paypal link on the main page of my test store... I know about that. It has nothing to do with the PayPal IPN contrib; it's just an image link that I haven't bothered to fix yet because I'm trying to get the backend working before starting in on the parts customers see ^_~ Thanks, though ^_^ Well, the main thing is to be able to check them out. Jack_mcs Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 You should also install the Held Orders contribution just in case. It catches orders that were not finished correctly and will eliminate the problem mentioned by the OP.
