Orders not being added to OSC

I think I have everything set up fine ... the store seemingly works without a hitch. No errors. The problem is that NO orders actually are stored/saved. They get the "confirmation" page and all, but orders are not sent or finalized (they still remain in the basket) ... what gives?

Thank you!

This is a common problem with PayPal when you don't have the IPN contrib installed.

Another thing you can do is browse the KB for the Master Password tip'n'trick . Then, when you get a PayPal payment you don't have an order for, you can login to your store as the email address that sent you $$, and check them out manually. Be sure to check them out as money order so that you/they aren't prompted to pay again.

You probably ought to post this to the authorize.net consolidated contrib support forum. There are lots of folks in there that have worked through all kinds of integration problems.

Question about this:

Can you do it that way even if you don't allow MO payments through your store? Or does Money Order have to be an option available to customers for this to work?

you would have to allow money orders, there is a module to create orders via admin for customers and then you dont have to do that.

there is something wrong with your paypal module tho, recheck the installation if you are using ipn

Well, the main thing is to be able to check them out. MO is easy, as you can check out without actually having to pay yourself anything.

You could always enable it, check out, and then disable MO again . . .

Are you referring to me?

If you do mean me, and you're referring to the paypal link on the main page of my test store... I know about that. It has nothing to do with the PayPal IPN contrib; it's just an image link that I haven't bothered to fix yet because I'm trying to get the backend working before starting in on the parts customers see ^_~

Thanks, though ^_^
