mark27uk3 Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Have you checked the ip address to see if it is a spider? Do you have 'Prevent Spider Sessions' set to false in your configuration? Mark Lifes a bitch, then you marry one, then you die!
crust Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 Have you checked the ip address to see if it is a spider? Do you have 'Prevent Spider Sessions' set to false in your configuration? Mark <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the ip adress is 64.124.85.208 it comes back as a host, i don't know, do spiders add stuff to their shopping cart?
qubit Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Doing a trace on that address comes back with 64.124.85.208.exava.com. If you go to exava.com it says: 'We are building the next generation search engine for shopping... Please stay tuned! Exava is a new company created by the founders of mySimon and Wisenut. ' It looks like it could well be a spider or something similar cataloging sites. Why don't you contact them and ask what's going off? Cheers, Q
♥yesudo Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 there is a ban ip contrib - but follow up on what Qubit says first. Your online success is Paramount.
ozcsys Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 I would check in your hosting control panel, many allow to ban ip addresses. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
Guest Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 I've seen Excava on one of my sites. I marked it as a bot in whos_online.php. ed
