Change order of Currency Dropdown menu?

Is it possible to change the display order of the Currencies Infobox dropdown?

 

My site's default is Canadian Dollars, and so that's what appears as the default selection, but I'd like to be able to move US Dollars below it on the dropdown. As it stands, when you click the arrow to change the currency, my default appears at the bottom of the list, which just looks funny.

 

I found something similar in the Knowledge Base, but that's not quite what I want.

 

I'm also curious as to whether or not there's a better way to display a certain country at the top of the country selection dropdown when making accounts then the one in the KB. I've seen lots of sites out there (non-OSC, as far as I know) that actually move countries to the top of the otherwise alphabetical list. For example a site that sells to mostly the US and Canada would have:

USA

Canada

then the rest of the countries listed alphabetically.

 

Any tips on either of these? I'm more interested in the currencies box one, since that displays on almost every page of the site, but moving countrie(s) to the top of the country dropdown menu would make creating accounts much more convenient for potential customers.

You can see what I mean about the currency dropdown on my site here. Don't mind the mess. I'm still installing contributions and whatnot, so I haven't done anything to the layout or products. No point in doing that before everything works properly. :P

You can do it 2 ways.

First delete all currencies you like to move downward and add them in the order you like them sorted in the shop, or use phpmyadmin and move up and down the codes and titles in the order you like (it don?t help only to change currencies_id) remember to update currencies when you are finish.

I am a Canadian based company and only accept 2 currencies. CANADIAN dollar (and if I must - the US). In the control panel I deleted the US dollar and added it. It came up FIRST. I then went into myPHPmy admin deleted the US dollar. Then added it and AGAIN it comes up FIRST. I changed the currency IDs to be 1 and 99 and the US stills comes up first. Is there any way to put CANADIANS ahead of the usa?
