ebutlerenterprises Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Hi all, Our site is far from finished at the moment, I have a great deal of work to do in order to get it looking how we want it to. I am planning to change the main image, the pink(!) writing is just a temporary thing and I also plan to add a few contributions such as meta tags and thumbnails. Also SSL is on the way, and payment options will be modded to include our own credit card system/security/credit check system. I have also not uploaded any products and am just using stock images (the matrox puts the box edge slightly out of line I know). I also have to finish the T&C's, the solicitor is actually finalising them so they will be upped when they are complete. Sounds a bit dismal I know, it does have a long way to go, but we are looking for ideas/suggestions/feedback on the general feel of the site and please conduct test orders at your pleasure as we are not live. iwik Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Hi, The first thing I've noticed is that the logos on the bottom of the main page are really pixelated and weird looking. Have they been shrunk down by the browser/oscommerce height & width settings? "If this is your first visit then please create an account?" - Does it need the question mark? Also, when you select to view by manufacturer/category (eg. motorola) the logo in the category heading has a white square surrounding it which doesn't look great when it's on the gradiated background. Try giving them transparent backgrounds to make them blend in a little better, or maybe a border or something. Perhaps you could add some other contact details to your contact us page, such as phone numbers and postage addresses. Oh, and "Vodaphone" should be "Vodafone". Other than those things, I think it's looking nice. I do like the box edges you have for the new products boxes on the front and category pages. Jane
