henrycoule Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 after the installation, and configuration of the https each time you attempt to login there is some kind of php session error at the bottom of the login page. Please someone help put look at this link https://cadillac.websitewelcome.com/~akapom...70569442b785435 that where the error is coming from. Please help I do not know which page(s) to modify to correct this error :'( thanks
Guest Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 first, you need to setup a tmp directory for storing the info listed in the configuration section of the store, logging and sessions. currently it is probably just /tmp it needs to be for whatever your site has (this is in the knowledge base). i would also turn off all the logging / sessions until you get it setup and going properly and also empty your sessions table
Guest Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Did you install any contribs? Have you always gotten this error, or has the login page always given you this error? Are you running 2.2 MS2, or a "loaded" version? -jared
henrycoule Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 I aleady have a directory called tmp under the root folder, how do I empty the session table?
henrycoule Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 Yea I got a fedEx module which I installed on the store could that be a probm? where it says store session in dir /tmp is this dir referring to the root tmp dir or a dir I must create under catalog??

Guest Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 that is what i stated in my post above, you need to create a tmp directory in your path from your file manager, then point the site to the directory created
henrycoule Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 I have created a tmp directory as you said but nothing has changed!!!!

henrycoule Posted November 23, 2004 Author Posted November 23, 2004 I guess the only solution is the removed the whole store and start up all over again!!! as nothing here seems to work!! well thanks guys for trying
Guest Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 look at the document root via the admin/tools/server info. search for it in the page which shows up. then post that info here. without that info not much more i can do to help you in creating the directory at the proper spot.
