after the installation, and configuration of the https each time you attempt to login there is some kind of php session error at the bottom of the login page. Please someone help put

first, you need to setup a tmp directory for storing the info listed in the configuration section of the store, logging and sessions.

currently it is probably just /tmp it needs to be for whatever your site has (this is in the knowledge base).

i would also turn off all the logging / sessions until you get it setup and going properly

 

and also empty your sessions table

Did you install any contribs? Have you always gotten this error, or has the login page always given you this error?

 

Are you running 2.2 MS2, or a "loaded" version?

Yea I got a fedEx module which I installed on the store

 

could that be a probm?

 

where it says store session in dir /tmp is this dir referring to the root tmp dir or a dir I must create under catalog??

that is what i stated in my post above, you need to create a tmp directory in your path from your file manager, then point the site to the directory created

I guess the only solution is the removed the whole store and start up all over again!!! as nothing here seems to work!!

look at the document root via the admin/tools/server info.

search for it in the page which shows up. then post that info here. without that info not much more i can do to help you in creating the directory at the proper spot.
