Displaying small image (240 by x) on item page

Recommended Posts

My store offers photographic prints - http://www.photographicjourney.com

I'd like to optimize loading time, by using a small version (thumbnail of slightly larger) for the initial item image, with a much larger version of the image when the select the option to see the larger image.

I think with photographs (or any kind of art) it is necessary to have a fairly good sized image for people to preview. I've been uploading images that are 800 pix by whatever size it comes out to be. The downside of that is that in order to see initial images on the item page, the much larger image has to load, even though it is only displayed with a width of 240 pix.

Can anyone tell me of a contribution (hopefully without too much setup) that does this. Or as an alternative, tell me how to do it myself?

Look at the thumbnail on the fly contribution. It has a pretty easy install

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.

Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems?

There are many very useful osC Contributions

Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here
