how do I set this shipping

ok thanks for reading this and helping if you can.

 

here is what I am after with the shipping (im stuck)

 

ok when someone buys a product from the store I want them to choose which shipping they need by the region they are in.

 

for example I sell product A and the customer sellects if they are from England, Scotland or Wales (those are just examples)

 

so if a customer is from Scotland the shipping is (for example) ?5 but if the customer is in Wales the shipping would be ?4 and England would be ?3.50

 

But Product B may be ?10 for Scotland, ?7.50 for Wales and ?6 for England.

 

can someone please tell me how I set this up in the admin section? is it done by Zones?

 

The shipping costs will be deturmened by the wieght of the product and by the region they are in.

What you will need to do is setup the zones first. SInce the UK is in OSCommerce as one country, you will need to add the UK County contrib so you have all the counties of the UK. Then you will need to setup these zones (ie England, Zone 1, Wales, Zone 2) with the counties.

Then you will need to set the zone rates. Now I only got one special zone, so I am not sure about multiple zones. But if you do a search on this forum, I am sure you will come up with something.

Put the weights into your products (ie 100gr is 0.10 and 1Kg is 1.00)

Then in the shipping zones you need to set the weight:price, so if you ship everything under 1Kg for ?5, and everything 2Kg for ?7.50 it should look like this 0.99:5.00;1.99:7.50.

Hello, I have a little problem with my zones. The thing is I cant make it consider the provinces or states when calculating the price, and I need to have different shipping charges for the different 50 provinces in Spain. I now have 3 zones, and I am playing to find out. It works at Country level but does not consider Country and Province at a time.

Any help please? Is there a contribution for Spain? Thanx. Antonio.
