ixwebhosting Send Mail Configurations

I'm having trouble sending mail. If you are using ixwebhosting and oscomerce and can send mail could you take a look at my settings and maybe we can figure out why I am not able to send mail?

Email is configured like this:

Configuration>MyStore

Email Address: [email protected]

Email From: My Name <[email protected]>

Configuration>Email Options

Transport Method: sendmail

Line Feeds: LF

Use mime html: false

Verify: false

Send Emails: true

Thanks,

Joseph

Vger,

At last we meet... I've been helped by many of your postings, thank you for your reply to this problem.

I tried that and still no email. This is slowly wearing me down. I had the site up with all the inventory and hit this problem, thought it might be a configuration issue and decided to start fresh. I am not going any further with the site until I can figure out this function.

Thanks,

Joseph

Joesph,

I use IXwebhosting.

Here is my configuration which is working:

Transport Method: sendmail

Linefeeds: LF

MIME HTML: True

Verify email: False

Send: True

I hope that helps. Are you on a windows platform? If so try SMTP.

Paul,

Thanks for the reply. I tried it and still nothing. I've chatted with ix, they tried a few things and still nothing, so I have a trouble ticket in to see if anything come from that.

I've also tried a contribution to test the email. That had no success either.

I'm hosted on a Linux server and work on a mac.

Can you think of anything on the ix side that might affect this or any other configurations?

Thanks again,

Joseph

Joesph,

The email generated from IXwebhosting had a long lag time but I have receieved it in HTML format. I also received it in text format when I tried that configuration. Yet, it did not happen as fast as other systems I use.
