Look in the knowledge base (link at the top of this page under the logo) common errors, headers already sent.

Whenever I edit the general.php file to remove the end spaces after ?>, they just return :/

 

How do I get it away totally? I've already chmod'ed it to 666...

How are you editing your files? If you are using the online filemanager, STOP!!

 

Edit the files on your local computer and then ftp them to your server. If you are editing them on your local computer what program are you using?
