Hi all. I seem to be having a problem connecting to either UPS (Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to www.ups.com:80 in /home/growings/public_html/ecommerce/os/catalog/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330) or USPS (Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to production.shippingapis.com:80 in /home/growings/public_html/ecommerce/os/catalog/includes/classes/http_client.php on line 330). I did have the UPS Choice working perfectly. I then added USPS Methods after going through the sign-up process, and it too worked except for the error message at the top. The UPS module still worked without any error message. The next day, I noticed that both of them give me the above messages (in other words,, neither will connect). I then did a clean install on another site and tried installing the above 2 contributions. Same non-connecting problem. HELP. What is going on???

In the mean time, I found the problem. It was with my Host. I called them and they reset the OSCommerce Module (IPowerweb) and it worked instantly. If anyone has a weird problem like this, call your Host.

Not that this helps you, but I'm having the identical problem. I used USPS, then UPS, and had the same problem with each.

 

I thought it was the change in the USPS configuration (per their email), but now I'm starting to wonder.

 

I had to move to a flat rate so I didn't loose sales.
