Shipping or payment modules won?t show?? Try This!

I noted there were numerous posts on this issue and I myself fell victim to it.

 

I recently installed OSC 2.2. I enabled UPS for shipping; enable my tax zones for my states etc. When I went to do a test order, the Shipping modules I had selected would not work. nothing showed up. Flat rate & per item would work, but ups and usps would not.

 

After fumbling around I also noted that my payment modules would not work.

 

After further investigation and some dumb luck, I found that enabling a tax class, payment zone or shipping zone on any of the payment or shipping modules caused them to disappear. Once I put them back to none, everything works.

 

I'm still in the process of trying to get the tax portion to work, but can deal with it not working for the moment.
