How to change the Server

Recommended Posts

I have an OSCommerce Shop installed and its running well.

Now i changed the root-name of my server.

Before: /www/domainname1/htdocs/shop-domain/admin/...

Now because I sold the "domainname1" which was the server rootname, I changed the rootname into the "shop-domain".

Now: /www/shop-domain/htdocs/shop-domain/admin/

The adminmenu has now several problems, because it can't find some folders and files because the serverroot changed.

For example "Help Programms\Data Manager\":

Warning: dir(/www/domainname1/htdocs/shopdomain): failed to open dir: No such file or directory in /kunden/shopdomain/htdocs/shopdomain/admin/file_manager.php on line 175

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /kunden/shopdomain/htdocs/shopdomain/admin/file_manager.php on line 176

For example the root of "cache" and "log" ist changeable in the admin menu.

Is it possible to change the root in one step for the complete Shopsystem? If yes, does anyone know how it works?

Thanks alot

Actually it is two steps one for the catalog and one for the admin. You need to change your two configure.php files

These two files control all your site paths

The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing.
