Featured Products not working with STS

I am unable to get Featured products to work correctly. I have triple checked the install, looks good, but featured products does not work properly. Is this because I previously installed STS?

 

Featured products is only showing some of the products on my main page. Admin seems to work fine and there are no error messages.

 

Please help my main page is held hostage.
