i just found it in:

catalog/includes/language/english.php

If you are using a language other than english, I would assume you choose your language instead :P

Christina

thanks christina. I want to remove that whole line. if i comment out the line in catalog/includes/language/english.php, then my page says TEXT_GREETING_GUEST.

I have a related question, I couldn't find this in the file i gave above.

the "What's New here", how do i get rid of that or change it? Also the image that goes along with it to the right.

For the life of me I can't find it anywhere :/

i found the image: table_background_default.gif

does anybody know what file i need to go to to take it off the home page? it's not the same file as "What's new here?"

In index.php look for this line (around line 291) and delete it.

 <td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'table_background_default.gif', HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>

or you can change it to

<td class="pageHeading" align="right"><?php // echo tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'table_background_default.gif', HEADING_TITLE, HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH, HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT); ?></td>

You will need to find this line in each page. Right click on the image and click properties (or whatever it is called in Windows) to get the image name. Then open the relevant file and search for the image name.

  • 9 months later...

I have made a new table_background_default image and it is now in place. However the height and width dimensions are skewed. Where can I find and change the

HEADING_IMAGE_WIDTH

HEADING_IMAGE_HEIGHT

displayed in the code in the previous post?

Thanks.

Aleena
