Website Launch final checks????

I'm sure some of you would be able to recommend some little tips to check for before launching my site??

 

Do i need to do anything special ? or backup anything critical.

 

anyone know a simple way of backing up the mysql data?

if you want to backup your site including all database info, just go to oscommerce admin section and it should be in Tools > Backup

 

You can do restores as well from admin if you wanted to :D

The admin side of things only backs up the database and not the store contents at all. Therefore, you'd want to download your site onto your harddrive via FTP loader or whatever.
