Joehome Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 Folks, Although someone in this forum pointed it out to me , and although I thought I had it fixed, I still seem plagued with this footer page creeping up into the side column. It happened after I added and edited the main page. Can anyone tell me what I did and how to fix it? It seems to be ok when you refresh the screen, but upon the initial load of the site, you will see what I mean. Thanks! -Joe www.ktisystems.com/catalog
Jack_mcs Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 It look normal to me. What is needed to see the problem? Have you tried clearing your browsers cache? Joehome Posted November 18, 2004 Author Posted November 18, 2004 I have tried empting the cache, but it diddnt help. You can also see this problem on http://www.hampdenhillsalpacas.com/catalog . When I load the page for the first time, it has the oscommerce banner on the side, not the bottom. Also the grey line with the date in it is also on the side, not the bottom. If I hit refresh, it moves to the bottom. Can anyone see this? I have seen it on the 2 computers that I have, and my customer that owns the site has also see it. Help! -Joe
Jack_mcs Posted November 18, 2004 Posted November 18, 2004 LOL - that's a neat trick. :) No idea why it is disappearing on the refresh but usually the table out of placement like that means part of a table is missing(or maybe an extra part). If the problem is easily reproducable, then you need to start eliminating parts of the code from your index.php file until you find the problem. For example, find the line that reads include (header.php) and remove it. Do you still have the problem. Go slow, since doing this way can introduce more of the same problems if you delete the wrong part. And, of course, you should back up everything before doing this.
